Willie Pile Bio

Coach Willie Pile founded FASST Performance & Fitness with a vision to incorporate his core beliefs into performance training across multiple sports. As a young athlete, he competed in basketball, baseball, soccer and gymnastics. Coach Pile believes in building a well-rounded athlete who’s adept at playing many sports at a young age, then narrowing their focus as they mature.  In fact, it wasn’t until his freshman year of high school that he played organized football.

After a standout high school career at both quarterback and defensive back, Coach Pile accepted a full scholarship to Virginia Tech and graduated with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Leadership.  He was then drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs and played 10 years as a professional in both the NFL and CFL.

FASST Performance, founded by Coach Pile in 2014, is located in the Grapevine/Southlake area.  Since inception, FASST has trained and mentored athletes from all sports and all ages from youth to professional.  FASST represents what Coach Pile believes are the five core areas of sports performance:

Footwork is essential in most sports and the efficiency of an athlete’s footwork can lead to improved results

Agility is the ability to move in multi-directional planes

Speed is the rate at which someone is able to move or operate.   Our goal is to improve run mechanics while increasing stride frequency and stride length

Strength is very important yet functional strength relative to your sport is critical to an athlete’s success

Technique is just as, if not more important than the previous 4 core beliefs. The athlete who can get to their technique faster in an individual battle will ALWAYS win!
